Sy is just going to use this lift to pick the car about 2 ft off the ground so he can get in it like a Grand Marquis!

I do know bend pac rep was trying to get out of replacing the motor on the second failure in a week, Had a hydraulic shop rebuild the motor no more problems, eventually bendpak paid the bill. For 2 post stuff I do like that Challenger has adjustable arms to be symmetrical like most or asymmetrical like rotary.
I have a challenger. I have owned it for 25 years. 2 post. Love it. I have my turbo supra stuck on it now with bad seals in the rams. The lift wasn't used for about 5 years. I think thats what happen. It's being fixed now. Love my lift. I did have the pump an motor moved to the drivers side. I just liked it there. Artie

The lift will be holding 2014 Corvette so I think I have time to make a decision.I guess I think I'm in my second or third childhood as I've owned Corvettes before including a 466 cubic inch big block.I just don't want to crush the wife's Lexus ls 460 because she thinks I've already lost my mind over this entire deal. Thanks for for all of your input !

Actually there are only 2 bolt cutters, one large, one small, plus a large gauge cable cutter and a large Hand Swager tool

I have a 10K lb Asym Bendpack lift in my shop. Lifts my 6080lb truck w/o breaking a sweat. Goes low enough for my C5 Vette even with the aluminum pucks installed in the secondary lift locations. I can open the Vette doors all the way open while on the lift no problem. Had to adj the equalizer cable once after the initial stretch. It hasn't given any problems in the 3 years I've had it.

At the GM plant we use Rotary Lift...they are used every day for weld checking and are problem free.

BTW...a 2 post is the way to go if you are going to actually work on a vehicle.

Is a 2-post lift feasible for long term parking?

I want:
To be able to lift my long-bed dually for infrequent maintenance.
To be able to stack two cars to conserve floor space.

Seems as though I'd have 1" total clearance (.5" each side) trying to squeeze the dually onto a 4-post ~8-10K lbs. 4-post lift. That's not really feasible.
But I like the simplicity of a 4-post lift for long term parking. We've only had a handful of earthquakes in my area in the past 25 years, but I have to imagine a 2-post lift with a car parked on it long term is a liability in that aspect, especially if it's parked on top of another (nice) vehicle.
