Wow. I can't speak for anyone else but I certainly believe in God and always say a little prayer before each run for a safe fun run with no injuries. Guess what though, shiit still happens. You can be a professional that boats everyday and things can still go wrong. 150 feet away at 25 mph is much different than 150 ft away at 100+. Things can go wrong very fast as has been proven in this sport many times.

Sadly far too many boaters in this area don't carry insurance, and many of them that do get it, only get it to scam the insurance company to pay for their broken crap. :snide:


Performance boating is far too hazardous to not have insurance... It's disturbing so many only think about getting the insurance to cover their boat. Hitting a rouge wave/wake at 70 mph while a passenger is not paying attention is all it takes to possibly put you in the poor house for the rest of your life, boat insurance is cheap in the long run.

Got it all figured out eh? Will your bodywork skills handle dental surgery when one of your gas money bimbo's smashes their teeth in on your dash? And why would anyone give you their boat to fix when your glass skills can't even make the mortgage payment?

If someone got hurt I would sell my boat to pay for the surgery. You have so much hate.. I am wondering why you have so much hate. Without hate life can be great and you can learn to live without insurance or haveing someone cover your ass all the time. Where do you pick up on any hate in my posts? I do not hate but I do expect accountablity and you have none. You are out taking risks with other peoples lives and property and have no means to take accountability for your actions when they effect other people lives. Sell your boat? Really? It takes months if not years to sell a performance boat even if you are givinng it away. But, that's your plan when you have to be accountable. Hell, In your own post you admit that you can't even afford your house and need people to give you gas money. But, we are to expect to believe you would suddently become accountable when you are involved in some incident. Your statments show you have no concern for anyone but yourself and your use of "God" as a sheild for your irresponsible decisions is a insult to everyone who has faith.

Chad, you are painting yourself in quite the bad light with your recent line of posts. Such reminds me of the thread from a few weeks ago with the kid in the Trucks/Trailers forums advocating running transport gigs illegally. From an non-partisan and outsider's advice perspective, you might want to slow your row.

Someone slips off the back of your boat; slices a femoral artery on the prop and bleeds out; you can't bondo yourself out of that one. You portray that your perception of acceptable risk is very askew from the majority of this community.

Without health insurance, only you are at risk. Same thing goes with your choice in no-helmet law states and you chose not to put on a helmet before you bounce off the pavement while out for a ride on a motorcycle. Same goes for personal choice on a PFDs as well.

Having insure will not make the accident not happen. Actually not having insurance will definatly make anyone more carefull. period. If not there is no concience and I cant help people without a concience. Paying for the accident weather insurance or some other way will not make the accident not happen. You need to look at how you are attacking me. I have reserves in precious metals that range way into the thoushands. I am married to a ICU nurse. My brother in law and cousin are emt firefighters . and they are always around if something did happen. I take care of resposiblilties in my life and I care for others more than about everyone i know.. Being selfish by going boating is not terrible. My friends enjoy that I give to them by taking them with. Just because you have the coin top pay an insurance company does not make you better than anyone that can not afford insurance.

Sorry If I make people think I am iresponsible.. Talking about the very subject will make me and others a better person. That is why I bring it up. I take it as a sign that this is being discussed. I am not useing God a s a shiled only saying that I am in a reall ygreat spot and I believe in the holy ghost and that love has done everything for me. We can talk about me all day . I don't relly care. I just pay 3 grand a year already on cars thruck and motor home. 1800a year on the house.. So I am sittng 5 grand on insurance and really dont see myself paying anther 2 grand. That is tough . The laws and loans make me have to pay the insurance on everything else. My boat is a dream come true. I never thought I would get a twin screw much less a really sweet one. It's not hate whatsoever. Do you really think that if you sell your boat you will be able to pay the expenses of whoever may be hurt (depending on severity of course)?? Based on your comments on here, it's not even worth trying to explain this to you because you are obviously not going to see it from our view.

Also health insurance is a bit different. If you don't have health insurance, that doesn't affect me the way you not having boat insurance does. If you have no health insurance, that's your own problem if you get sick, hurt, etc. If you don't have boat insurance and cause an accident it becomes the problem of the other people involved.

Even if all these things are true, you're just trying to make excuses now to get people on your side. Not gonna happen. And no one said anyone was better because they can afford insurance on a high dollar boat, they are just smarter because they factored all the costs into the price of the boat and not just the boat itself.

Also, your "thoushands" in precious metals wouldn't even begin to cover the costs of an even mildly bad accident not he water.
