Cool I think i am going crazy !!!!

Ok, I finished the honey do's today. So. I started reading past form questions on all kinds of subjects. What to do, not do, what kind of oil to use, not use, drive issues. trim issues, motor issues, bearing issues. Things that might go wrong, could go wrong, will go wrong. At this rate, I am scared my boat might spontaneously combust on the trailer. I think I need a drink. There is a lot of good info here, but it can be overwhalming. It.s going to be a long winter..LOL

You have to put your chit filter on when reading replies. Lots of good info to be had from this forum over the years. Some good, some bad. You'll learn who to trust over time.

If you need expert powerboat advise choose Chris Sunkin (the Counterman). He'll unburden your wallet, I mean your troubles!

look at join date as well as post counts too. These are boat, they break. People that have been around awhile either learn to deal with that (what works, what doesn't etc..)or they move on to other things. Also this place has a way of chasing out the idiots and shysters over time too.

And as you have all ready figured out, having a drink or 6 helps too. Its also the beginning of the silly season so fasten your seat belt.

I find the performance boater try's to think of every little thing that can. They break down every question to the point ya don't know what to think. You should go hang around a marina for a day, not one with all new boats, a working class marina. You will be amazed at the things people use I. There boats and what they put them threw.

+1 on this ........ I'm one of those people that get real paranoid about all the things that could go wrong. I dock at one of these "working class marinas" and seeing what some people do and don't do to there boats and get away with it time and time again without a care in the world helps keep my paranoia in check. I'm glad I don't dock at a marina full of new boats otherwise I would probably share your fear of spontaneous combustion.

Well I can tell you from experience that you boat is going to put on some winter weight. The transom is going to get wider and it's going to want to go shopping.
