Default Whipple Offers PCM Upgrades for Mercury 8.2 Engines

Whipple Superchargers recently rolled out its PCM upgrade kits for all of those out-of-warranty MerCruiser 8.2 Mag and 8.2 Mag H.O. engines out there. A stage 3 kit is coming soon, too.

I just contacted Dustin at whipple about getting my PCM tuned. I'm very excited and will report back in the spring with numbers.

Great! 91 seems like a no-brainier to me. All the gas on our lake is 91 octane. Might as well get the best bang for the fuel readily available.

I was very happy with the Stage II Flash they did on my 496 mag PCM. While top end might have gone up 1 MPH, low-mid range is where I noticed the biggest change. Also, believe it or not, the sound at idle is much more aggressive now. The 496 mag (stock) at idle sounds pretty boring........

Hey guys,

I'm not trying to hyjack the thread, I am curious about the upgrade for the 500efi. I put a post in the Q and A but haven't heard from anyone. Has anyone done this and what results did you have?

Are you going with the stage 1 or stage 2 upgrade?
