The government realizes that this stuff has a limited shelf life, the longer they keep it, the less it is worth....... If the kid has been locked up for a couple years they have already disposed of the seized/surrendered assets. In the Scott Rothstein Ponzi scheme they unloaded his exotic car collection in less than 6 months from when he got indicted (pair of brand new Lambos, pair of Bugatti Veyrons, bunch of Mercedes/Bentley/Rolls Royce inventory). This stuff isn't going to be worth more sitting in an impound yard for years.

As far as a 20-25-30 year old Cig, it could very well have been scrapped. Storage costs could very easily exceed book value so to a govt acct they might just say dump it vs. try and salvage/sell it especially if it was missing power.

don't think so. they don't "scrap" 38' cigarette boats, it's not a scooter. the stuff gets auctioned off or bought by an officer or someone on the inside before the auction happens. the boat is around somewhere, just have to locate it. thought someone on here might know the whereabouts of the boat, it's not your run of the mill boat
