I had a 2000 42 Fountain with this same Cobra set up years ago. Boat handeled the power well up to aprox 112, from that point up you needed to be really on top of your game

I had an 02 with about 1000 hp and the boat ran 120 on GPS with a new set of herrings and a chilly day! Ran 115 any day of the week and handled fine. I think the 2000 might be a different bottom but not positive.

Would depend on how fast you feel you need to go. With that hp, you would not need to trim the boat much to achieve high speeds. It should be on a rail at 120 with the correct drive height and props, still with plenty of wetted surface.

Buy it and cut thecwindshield down. Maybe change the graphics too. But the graphics are good in my book. It has a killer stereo too. Aint gonna look too bad from the rear view as it sits.. cause thats all most boats will ever see.
