Well I am an avid SCUBA diver as well as enjoy skydiving from time to time..The origin of my name came many years ago when I was trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up (I have since realized I never will grow up..just old) I was toying with the idea at the time to take my love for recreation diving and become a Commercial Diver I also have the intent to move somewhere tropical..live on a boat and maybe run SCUBA excursions from time to time..hence Dive-Master (the rating needed by PADI to do so) at the same time I was signing up for yahoo mail..Divemaster was taken so I settled for the Y..I love the Y
I instead took my love of boats and came topside and became a Merchant Marine and now make my living on top of the water rather than in the depths and still intend to retire somewhere tropical and continue to dive..SCUBA..SKY..MUFF
So the name has stayed with me and I use it for most of my social networks!

I started trolling this site in 2002 and then joined 2003. Always an avid boater, owned a number of boats but always wanted to hear a pair of unmuffled Big V8's behind me so I picked the term wannabe. Bought the boat in 2007 on Ebay (from a fellow OSO'er). No longer a wannabe but kept the name.

I started racing karts and motox as a teenager. When I was about 16 I decided that racing came first until I turned 40 then i had to grow up and stop racing. So I ran the number 39 on most of my race cars and when i hit 39 i sold the race stuff and bought a Scarab.
