Next year I'm going to try using an Ipad Air for a chart plotters/ GPS unit. I have see tnat there are several apps available to use on the ipad. Ill be boating mainly in the Great Lakes (Lake St Clair ). I have see the INavX, Navionics and the Nobletec products and was wanting people feedback on them?

Being in the electronics business and owning an IPAD myself I would not recommend it. They are very hard to see in the sun as well as not being waterproof. There are many solutions out there for not a lot of money that would provide better results. Not to mention having to mount it.
