To me that was what was even worse than the snow and ice, you don't see the sun for four months during the winter in the midwest, no wonder people get depressed during the winter, who wouldn't, I've had a silly smile on my face for 15 months now, it's easy to see why Florida is called the sunshine state.

I feel your pain, my kids live in St. Louis and I got their forecast and it doesn't look good for the weekend, the kind of funny thing is I've got to fly into St. Louis Tuesday morning for some business (I still own property there) and it looks like I'm going to get some the frigid weather when I get to town, serves me right, I guess I'll have to dig out the bluejeans and shoes, I've got to admit, I'm still a midwest boy and love St. Louis and Missouri still.

It looks like the long range says it should be nice for the next ten days or so.
Before we moved we only did the winter visitors thing a few times and realized real quick I couldn't keep doing it, for the same reason you mention, I didn't want to go back.
