What to do on super chiller
I'm having a 540 or 572 built for my 26 eliminator Daytona. We pulled the old engine out and it originally had some good parts but I'm not gonna cut corners like they did (long story) . What I need to know is what to do with chiller . Should it be ran on separate pump or off engine?.. Or is there a big sea pump that can push the heck out of water. I have one pump now and it feeds everything including the b-max outdrive too I think .

Just use a separate transom mounted pickup that force feeds the intercooler. It doesn't have to be hooked up to a pump. It works on water pressure alone. Works great. That's how we do every one.

is there a better pick up? I always thought those things scrubbed a bunch of speed.

come over and look at mine, when the bottom got blueprinted they added tunnels for the water to flow through.the pickup is not hanging in the water.

Like Mike said, if you do a lead-in in the bottom, the pickup doesn't actually hang down below the bottom.
Here are a few pics of one that I did recently. These were for an intercooler pickup. Eddie |
Wow that is really bad ass!
Mike I will have to check yours out, I`m assuming Nabbers can do that no problem |
yes,he did mine.they do really nice work,i had them do a transom for a boat i was working on and it came out much stronger than origional.they also do nice paint work.

Nabbers did the lead-ins for Louie's Donzi. He also blueprinted the bottom. He does some excellent work.

Eddie What about utilizing my current pick ups and taping the chillers off the existing strainers? |
