Sorry, I can't give the sympathy you want when I can't hear the other side and then try to determine the truth. And you won't even give the name of the guy who stole your hard earned money, to me if I really got screwed and was upset I would let everyone know.......unless there was more to the story.

I'm truly happy you got your stuff.

I haven't posted the builder because I figured maybe he would think about it and apologize. to his credit I got all my stuff in boxes and not thrown out in the snow.

i agree 100% and you wernt screwed $400 you did get some work done. $250-$300 dollars worth 'to strip down 2 motors ...so what are you really arguing over $100 rediculous.>>> and after the builder reads all this you really think your going to get an apolgy ..i willing to bet thats a big NOOOOOOOOO

I get $2,000 to tear down two motors and check everything $400 sounds like a gift for Christmas

its not just the money, its telling me your going to do something and NOT doing it. for three and a half months.

at this point im sure there is no apology coming, although there should be.

brian41,im curious,are you speaking for the builder the op was dealing with or did you just feel the need to speak up on something you are not directly involved in.i have no dog in this fight as i do not know the op or who the builder in question is,although im pretty sure i do know who it is at this point.

how much do you get to do what the op asked for,that was remove 8 pistons,1 crankshaft and measure things?times 2 of course as he dropped off 2 partially disassembled short blocks.
