Default BEST PEOPLE I'VE MET BOATING

For those that weren't there our 26 Donzi broke the bravo after several launches. It would make every boater here proud to see what happened next. Within 90 seconds we had at least 8 boats around us with everyone offering help. BOATFREAK and crew were already beginning to uncoil a tow rope. Without any discussion they were positioning their boat to toss us a line. They towed us at least a couple miles into Racine harbor - HENCE they ended up missing some of the action and getting to check out Active Thunder Todd & Tracy's boat.

When things get so crummy in our society that you don't know who to trust and it seems like everyone is only out for themselves an event like this comes shining through. I consider it truly an honor to be associated with this elite crowd of people sharing a common bond.

THANKS BOATFREAK & CREW, CIG28SS and everyone else that immediately offered their assistance

Tim & Jeanne Fitzgerald

Tim-
Sorry to hear about your Bravo trouble

I have a good boat/broken trailer in Antioch
You have a broken boat/good trailer in Antioch

Put 'em together we could actually do some boatin' somewhere!

Hope you get fixed soon! (our repairs are in the works too)

Hi Everybody,

I made it back alright. I left Hammond at about 7:30 for South Haven and figured I wouldn't get there untill after dark but I had my trusty GPS, yeah right. Untill the batteries went dead. Man does it get dark in the middle of the lake. All I had to do was stay calm and keep my compass on 55 degrees. Next time I think I'll spend the night in Hammond or have spare batteries. Too much pucker factor involved.

Candyman and RV, that was the best boating day that my sons and I have had. I put on around 260 miles. I hope we can get together again. The pictures are awesome.

It would be fun to mingle with everyone for awhile but lunch was great.

Thanks,

Roger, Luke and Ryan

Roger~ Glad to see you made it back!!! I was hoping you were ok!!! I've asked Todd a few times if he'd heard anything on you making it back to Michigan.
Glad you had a safe trip!! And it was nice meeting you and your sons!

Quiet Storm,
I'm glad you guys had a good time. I know the ride home was entertaining. I still can't believe that Stunt plane that buzzed us with his smoke on. I wish I had the camera out.

When I spoke with you on Friday I thought you were trailering the boat from South Haven. You definitely had a big boating day. It would have been nice to had more time to check out the machinery and just hang out. Hopefully next time we can do that. Also the guys a NP got cheated out of that nice long run we had. I loved the looks we got, especially from the sailboats, as are group flew by.

Dan, that fun, all the looks we were getting. Even the sailboaters were all waving at us.

Quiet Storm, I'm glad to hear you got back ok. I thought I put on a lot of miles. You put on 100more!
Maybe we can get together when we head up to St Joe.

I wish I could make the St Joe run too but I will be in Seattle at my wifes nephews wedding. I haven't thought of a good enough reason for missing it yet, but I'll keep on working on it.

Candyman, I had just landed from one of the waves when I saw the plane buzz us. Maybe he liked our landing techniques.

They’re having a fun run out of Divorcee Harbor on the 24th plus our run on the 25th. Now you have two days...I mean two reasons not to go.
I'm sure we'll catch up with you, that is if you want us to. Your boat has to scream with those Whipple's.
