Anyone use U ship to transport a boat

I am looking into shipping a boat that sits on a trailer across the country on a low boy trailer. Wide load permits would need to be pulled. Anyone have any experience with U ship or other companies? Thanks in advance. Doug

I used u-ship when I purchased my boat from Washington to Michigan. I had a few 'flake' out on me after putting in low-ball bids, check to see if they are registered for inter/intra state transportation within DOT. Check the feedback on the shippers ratings. Sometimes its worth not taking the extra low bid.

I have a current customer that had his topgun shipped from miami to ohio using U Ship. No issues and was fairley reasonable. Although he brought it with a small block single wheel 2500 series GMC and I dont know anything other then it showed up and the driver looked like he lived in his truck on occasion . . . .

I have used u ship a few times to move some tractors , had good experience just watch feedback and as said sometimes the lowest bid is not the best.

Check out post #13, I heard of more than a few of these drivers on U-Ship.

I have used it twice. Wyoming to Michigan, South Dakota to Michigan. Perfect both times.

I had a boat shipped Ca-NY no problem. I can give you his number if you'd like. I didn't pick the cheapest bid, I made sure the guy had a CDL and all the proper ins. Etc. There's a guy named Pat here on the board you should talk to also. Pat@osp

My son drives a Pete 387 that I purchased and leased on to a company in Wisconsin, so I know more about the cost of owning a tractor than I ever wanted. I mentioned to him that I needed to pick up this boat and he mentioned U ship. I will drive back to fetch it but if I can get it on a lowboy at a reasonable price it might not be worth the cost and time for me to tow it. Plus the winter is a horrible time to go for a drive through Wyoming. I will not have Duramax315 doing the towing. Thanks Doug

I just shipped my old boat from mi to az and my new boat from ca to mi through uship with no complaints. You don't pay until your boats delivered so you still have a little skin in the game. I think the feedback kind of makes them or breaks them so it's important to look at and they don't want to screw it up

This is right up duramax315's alley! Hit him up he'll cut you a great deal and he's got tons of experience
