A collection of 16 Bobthebuilder offshore stories / adventures
 

It’s winter if you live in the northern hemisphere and many have their offshore boats put away until spring. Often I get asked about some of my past trips / experiences and have to go looking for threads that are scattered here and there and long forgotten. To save some digging I have pulled some of the more interesting ones together. Most of the stories up to # 9 took place during the 1990’s, the Cancun run in 2008, Cuba in 2009 and Bahamas / Caribbean in 2010, 11, 12 & 13. I'm not sure what happened from 2000 - 2007 but I know I was on the water ! LOL Now that I think about it, I was heavy into poker runs but eventually grew a bit tired of that and had the diesel Nor Tech built for some long range cruising. Best move I’ve ever made in the world of go - fast boating. It has opened up boating waters to me that I had only previously dreamed about. So if you are snowed in or just want to read about some offshore boating in far away places, feel free to go through some of these threads as you have time.

Thank you sir, at some point at one of these types of events I hope I get the opportunity to by you a beverage. Your trips have pumped me up and I have a trip booked for two weeks through the exzumas on my nor tech CC and staying at stanial cay. Time to nut up and step further out then Bimini cheers

I love the Exumas and have plans to go back in April or May when the seas start to settle down. Some of the most beautiful waters in the world are in the Bahamas, not all that far from Florida. Maybe we will cross paths out there.

Thank you. I'm glad I pulled them together as some that we interested have said they had missed some. Also makes it easier for me in the future to find a particular thread if needed for reference. No doubt Jay's pictures add a lot and help capture the experience through his lens.
