Default "7" New 557 HP out Board engine

Has anyone actually seen or been involved in this new company making this new 557 HP small block V8 supercharged GM Outboard engine. Its called "7". There are a lot of videos on the internet. One video I saw was 3 of them on a 37ft center consol.. I saw 5,500 on the tacks and 74 on the GPS speedometer. That doesn't seem real fast for triple engines on a center console.

I have not seen one of those ( Other than Boat Show Pics ) But I do have a 2004 Chevrolet Crewcab Pickup with that Base 6.0L motor with a Magnuson SuperCharger. If those outboards can run like that truck they will be "F_ing" Awesome. Now mind you, Me being Me, I have removed all Torque Management. I let it add timing until is senses knock. That thing will light the rear tires going over 50 mph. ( I have paid the price of getting all it can by pushing internal tranny parts out the front of the transmission ) But Like I said if they'll let it run like it is capable of it will be Awesome... Oh, My Rev Limit is 6200 (same as factory 6.0)

I had been wondering the same. I remember them making a big deal about them and then haven't seen anything since. Love the idea though.

I ran their 36 yellowfin cc w twins... The boat was overpowered... It hit 70 no problem, but then ran out of hull... That boat really doesn't need to go that fast... It was still pulling, but I didn't see the need to prove anything, or go for a 75 mph swim...
The design is very good.....

They have been at the Miami boat show the last couple years. The engine is the new CTS-V, LS-A engine jsut modded for marine. It is pretty huge....That's what she said. Search more on youtube for Marine7 and find there page. It shows all about them.

IIRC there pretty much they shooting for guy that would go trip/Quad 300/350's and now would only have to run twins.

There spendy tho, I believe something like 55, 65 or 75,000 each! I cant remember

Interesting concept, they claimed 25 deposits at 2012 show, has anyone taken delivery?

I have been wondering what was going on with this outboard too since its introduction, things are quiet....I read all about the father and son and how they got the company started, but how are these OB's doing out-there on a transoms? Any issues? Performance data?

I did like the idea of integrating a joystick control with bow-thrusters and the outboards for ease of docking, was that idea implemented?

Educate and inform me..

I am casually Friday night interested, but I am not that interested yet, but thanks for the info, just like gathering info, so if and when the time is right I can make a quick decision if necessary (if a bargain or opportunity may be had), but I am in no such position at this time so hence, just educating myself.

I do like the looks, and the idea behind the design.
