If you wanted the boat.... figure throw away the power and buy a new or nearly new set of 1075's or similar! That will cost you $80K minimum and then the rigging so whatever you give for the boat figure to spend another $100K and you will honestly have a nice boat. It actually looks like it is in great shape but it is still an 06 and it is only worth so much because I have one that has had a TON of money spent on it and at the end of the day it is still an 06

All kinds of numbers have been thrown out. $399k - NFW $250ish is what the people I've asked think it will bring. I'm going to bid on the boat just to make sure it does not get "stole" but I'm out above $175ish. I'd really like to have the trailer. I would play with the boat for a season then sell it. I might keep the Hummer but have it painted. |
It went for $550k in 2008. (Lot 1309 boat 192,500, lot 1309.1 hummer 192,500, lot 1309.2 trailer 165,000). I doubt he brings it back to sell it for 175k. The auction will make sure it gets over whatever number they deem necessary. They always do.

and the Hummer…..really? The boat was the only thing that went for what it was worth then. |
The auction applies the money over the three titles. You could obviously only bid on the complete package. So the actual dollar amount listed for any of the three is skewed.
|
Anybody know what it sold for??
|
Auction is Saturday the 18th
|
You may have some competition at that price. The boat and trailer are nice, but the hummer would be large scale Tonka toy.
Good luck, I'd drive it. |
I went and checked it out on Wednesday nice boat the motors pictured are not what are in it. It has a some polished 5 liter whipples on it. If I can get a time on when it goes through I am going to head over and watch it on Saturday. I saw this boat before at a poker run up in Harrison Lake BC it was driven real conservatively to say it in a nice way.

Good luck making money if you are trying to sell it. Exciting anyway. Wish they would have a Barrett Jackson for boats. |
Not bad. Would have looked good at the Shootout.

Orthobam, If it sold at 260, what is the grand total after Barrett jackson puts all their fees on it.

The whole package with the buyers commission brought $286K.
|
So that would lead me to believe that just the MTI on a standard trailer (non tilt), and no hummer included is a sub $200k boat. Correct ?
|
The math I was working on
Hummer $15,000 - based on Manhiem MMR Trailer $50,000 - based on making a few phone calls Boat $150,000- based on nothing. Just a guess. I still don't know what engines are in it which is what concerned me. I thought anything under the $215,000 number would have been a good buy. Anything under $200,000 a great buy. I was pretty excited watching the auction leading up to the boat as it looked like a bunch of the higher end cars were not bringing anywhere near close to what they were predicting. It seemed like they just kept saying "that was a really good buy…." I wanted the Hummer and trailer but not the boat. Oh well….. |

Did anyone here buy it? Did they ever say what the engines actually were at the time of the sale?

Here is the behind the scenes look at how the MOJO replica was created/used. If any of you remember, the offshore race scenes were used in heavily in the trailers but was never used in the final release version. It was scratched for a nightclub opening scene.
