It helped me identify which old race boat it actually was because when i spoke to the original owner he remembered that. It seems to be a non issue though same rpms on each motor at wot .i did some bottom blueprinting took some material off and added sone and picked up 4 mph. Its a half inch

Wildman. What you are seeing in the slow cruise part of the video is...the one drive trimmed lower. One drive trims faster up and down so i set both drives even at 5 then trim it down a bit to get started. Thats why its crooked. When i trim it back up the one drive is faster and catches up to be at the same level at 5. you can see at wot it is pretty level .( hard to see if they are exactly the same again on the trim guage at WOT with a helmet on ) At the begining of the video I was screwin with tabs, trying to get them exact at 2

Either way I am wondering, how much did you pick up with the shorties? I have someone saying I should put -2's on my 32 (the drives are DEEP) but not sure I care to spend the money.

If you can go up to thee surface . Id say yea, because you can run surface props. If you are 6 inches below the bottom and would go to 4 I would say no. the actual stock case (if it is underwater ) is faster than a sportmaster. Spend the time and money making sure your bottom is blueprinted perfect. That gave me 4 mph

Chad, a 1/2 inch change in drive height on my 03 525 Lightning made a huge difference. I was able to run props that I could not run or even get on plane with before I added a 1/2 inch spacer. The boat went from running 91/92 mph to a solid 98. The prop shafts were 1/2 inch above the bottom of the boat, were 3/4 inch before the spacer, with semi-stager and extension boxes.

after further inspection. Drives are the same highth. The star fuel tank has more fuel that the port tank. That is why it is leaning in the vid. I forgot i had 3 girls filling a fuel tank for a dock photo shoot. I never put fuel in the other tank. I just figured that out lol!
