BT owner claims 67 top speed with boat empty. With gear and everything that you can fit on it about 62. Not sure what cruise is. He did put 26p Bravos on it for better cruise. He says it came with 24s brand new and would run almost 70.

I can tell you I`m not real thrilled to be towing my heavy old boat around(17, 000 including trailer) I don`t know if its the length or weight but for a while there I was like what the hell did I get myself into. Id go with the lighter boat
I'm sure she would pay half to go that route. Is that how much I'm looking at towing wise is 17k or is that a different boat.

Donzi 500 EFI's vs Black Thunder heavier with 502;s not even close if performance is what you are looking for at all

Wow! maybe she should be a fiance, all I ever got from any Gf was maybe some crabs
My boat is 15,700# I`d imagine a BT would be up there.

I am not to familiar with the BT but looking at both posts I definitely like the looks of the Donzi but I am biased. I just got my 35 ZR last fall and love it. My friend got a 28 Zx and is loving it as well. I would test drive them both and then decide which was is right for you! They both look like solid boats.

They both are nice but the black thunders are just the best to overnight on. Both are big I doubt you will notice a difference driving or towing either when the size hurts you. The BT size will only help you.

Honestly keep shopping till you find that killer deal that ends up being the best overall bang for the buck. Or you find "the" one boat you love.

Enjoy

To me it would be an easy choice with the donzi. I think it looks waaay better, has 500 efi's, is going to be way faster, and easier to haul. Both have great cabins. I just don't see what that bt has that the donzi doesn't and I call bullchit on the 70mph. What do you have for a tow vehicle?

I love the Donzi, much better looking, graphics on the BT just doesn't do it justice, and I'd bet your talking 10 mph or better difference between the two

BT definitely looks roomy but I don't think there is any way it gets near 70 with 502s. Maybe and is be impressed. That's a lot of boat
