sorry just the way I read it...I need less words and more pictures to understand things sometimes...:D... never knew either, was always confused as to why they would just pull out and head home...the way the "movie" was done it made em look bad, just didn't think that would be the way someone who had/has as much confidant as Outerlimits in there machine that it was totally truthful. and now we know.:ernaehrung004: |

This was a lottery dream post, and anything can be accomplished with some engineering skills, Sonny's Automotive Racing can build the motor to accomplish the desired task, all it takes is $$$,$$$.00
That was all I was pointing out and not knowing your background, many people are not aware of the difference between that style of motors. And agreed that a really, really good motor builder will build you whatever you want. Typically the best have a very narrow focus though. |

Now that would be pretty cool, brings back memories to the early 1990's when Pro Roc Marine had the radar gun on Barnegat Bay. Thank you Mr. Trulio for the update, keep em coming, look at all of the interest this thread has generated. I do appreciate this thread and your posts, this topic has created alot of buzz that is for sure, and you have played a big role in this albeit in third party form. I love reading everyone's opinion, always something to look forward each day. |

A good friend had a convo with JT in KW a few years after his cig kilo attempt. A few notes to add. It was a solo run for JT, so they added a foot throttle so he could keep both hands on the wheel! He also told him doing the kilo record for vee is crazy,"Reggie is crazy" and said he would never attempt it again in a v hull. I would really like to see it broken, by anyone. Its great for the sport. However, I hope that all involved stay safe. |

I own a Fountain for the simple reason that I just like them.. not because of the kilo record or any undeniable loyalty. Just like the way they look, like the way they drive, very simple. I've had nothing but positive experiences with both RF III and Mike Fiore (ironically, I bought my Fountain from Mike) and just hope all of these guys are safe after this is all over. And I really want to see it in person....

After a lot of stories and Dustins post about "no water" I pulled up videos and cut and paste from the recent OL speed video and Fountain 171 video. Its really interesting to look how different the attitudes are when running. If they can get the OL up in the 180's it looks like it will keep going and be stable. The Fountain is almost entirely out of the water like a bass boat. However, really interesting. BIG BALLS either way!
Pretty insane! Sorry for quality - cut and paste from video. |
