Just an FYI, those MTI V42's are north of $500k. The boat show silver boat was over $700k. They damn well better do poker runs and fun runs and every other kind of boating there is for that kind of dough. That being said, I'll take one if it's being sold stupid cheap.

Thanks for the info, but I know what they cost, I guess that's why I like them so much, I guess I should have worked a few more years instead of cashing out early to go screw off.

Compared to other 42 ft center consoles on the market the MTI leaves a lot to be desired, the Hydra Sports has way more space and a much better layout for the same money and double the content for that price the green one at the show was $689,000 and $60,000 of it was Wet Sounds stereo, A 42 Yellowfin, Invincible, or 41 Bahama are all better boats with a lot more space. The 45 Cigarette has way more space and a much better layout. The MTI layout is so cramped you can hardly walk around the boat and two people cannot pass, there is not even space to put a cooler, design wise the hump carried over from the cat looks out of place, and WTF is with that stupid wing on the t-top? So many better choices on the market can't understand why they have sold any. If you gave me one I would sell it.

The 42' Cigarette Huntress is an amazing boat. Spent a lot of time on a few. Running 70+ w 8-10 people sipping martinis is kind of eye opening.

I saw a YellowFin at the Detroit boat show last weekend (I think it was a 36). That thing was a monster! It looked very well laid out and rigged. It was a very impressive looking boat.

I bought my Scarab Sport 9 years ago to satisfy all of my needs. It is a boat I can cruise pretty fast ( it has twin Merc 250's ) , the wife and I can crash for the night if we have to, I can go crabbing, I can fish comfortably on it. And after all these years, the only thing we do is go from point A to point B as fast as we possibly can. When we get there we hang on the boat for a bit and then go into the restaurant. We have never spent the night on it-their is no need to since our house is an 8 minute boat ride from Fire Island and it's much more comfortable than the boat. The best thing I love about the CC is that it is pretty easy to keep looking pretty good, just hose it off and once in a while give it a good cleaning here and there, and I love that I can keep it in the water. With all that said, I kinda wish I bought a 28 Skater ( which I was leaning towards ). I know it would have been more work, but I really like that boat. Anyway, that's my opinion about center consoles.

While I certainly respect MTI and their boats, their 42 cc is one ugly creation (imo). It may be built well and ride nice, but it sure is not their best looking boat.

The huntress is the end all be all of CC but i also really don't through in that category. I will say with a large enough budget that would be the boat for me all day.

I love all the go fast big boys but the huntress is the cats meow.
