New job!
 

Well, after years of working and going back to school full time, it finally paid off! Got awesome job offer yesterday and took it! Start in two weeks. The funny thing Is, the first thing I thought of was boat upgrades. :lolhit:

As far as the boat goes I probably won't be doing much more this year as I'm already having both engines rebuilt as we speak. Unfortunately at the time I couldn't afford to do much in the way of upping the power so kind of a bummer now that I'll be making considerably more money. I'm just gonna enjoy the boat this summer, bank as much money as I can and see which direction to go for next year.

That's most likely the direction I'm heading. Find a boat the way I want it, probably be cheaper in the long run anyway.

Congrats man! I say keep the old 12 meter. Bank up a bunch of cash. Then get some #6's for it, with a pair of 1000's. Keep it old school. You have a great looking boat. Dont forget to save some money to keep the skanks full of booze and silicone.

Yea, I don't think I can part with her just yet without giving her what she deserves (the 12 meter) the other her doesn't deserve Chit lol. It's gonna take some time to get where I need to be anyway and it's deff not outerlimit kind of money. Besides, fountains are faster. :D

Hard work paid off, enjoy the new job and all that comes with it.

GM has used them quite a lot in the past for design. Do they do any build or integration? If you ever need any contract Robot/Controls programmers let me know.

With the easing of work visas for foreign engineers wanting to work here, I hope your job remains secure. I have benefited from the fact that my local knowledge of conditions here as well as specific product knowledge has kept me secure. I only need about 6 more years til retirement, so I am reasonably safe. I have grave concerns for the future where a flood of outsiders will dilute the earning power engineering once enjoyed.

and no, I don't own or could afford even a very USED Outerlimits.

This is not my Father's (Civil Engineer) world, and the big firms already utilize their offshore engineers that work for $25,000 per year or less.

Glad to hear about the new job, now you will have more money for the boat, for the skanks, for the all the in betweens that the skanks require (booze, condoms, birth control, Valtrex, ect).

I like Mild Thunder's advice where he wrote , "Dont forget to save some money to keep the skanks full of booze and silicone." Keep the pictures of the skanks on your 12 meter coming, I alwasy appreciated the pictures, and your witty outlook.

Maybe with this extra money you could upgrade from skanks to Escorts from Backpage, the quickest way to really piss money away, from what I heard, not from first hand experience*
