Did you manually set min lift on the valvetronic motor on removal? No faults/Check engine light? Theres a valvetronic gear stop that is mounted internally in the head that can snap if the motor is taken out when the spring tension snaps the valvetronic gear to min lift.

I've only ever seen that once our twice though. I'd bet the flange of the valvetronic motor may be bent if this method is used also though, which will cause a big unmetered air leak.
