My last boat was all Memphis Audio, ( 4 ) 6.5's ,,,,( 2 ) 8" and ( 2 ) 10" subs and only 800 watts run off ( 2 ) blue top Optimas
How did you like your memphis system? I just installed (2) 6.5's, (2) 6X9's, (2) 8's, and (2) 10's in my boat. All the speakers are in, but amps aren't going in till sunday so I haven't heard it yet, I got 600w amp for the subs, and a 480w amp to run the speaker. Everything is memphis marine stuff. I may add another pair of 6.5's but not sure yet.

My new Nortech CC I had installed 2 pair of 8.8 jls, 4 pair of 7.7 JLs, 2 pair of 10 subs JL, separate bass control knob, and three of there top of the line amps. (sorry i can't remember the model #) My best buds wife got out of the boat after a day of boating a while back and said she felt like she had been in a night club. JL, Focal, Wet sounds is all good, but make sure you have an installer that not only knows how to install, but also knows how to tune the system. That is key.

If you get the chance to listen to some Polk db6501 component's backed by @ 100 watts rms and strong sub system you will be very impressed as to there sonic output. Very inexpensive

Where did you mount your sub? In the center, under the rear seat?
