looking at that picture i would have to say he is running 540s , if the boat had any type of racing stripe it would obviously have much bigger engines in it

Holy PHUCK! If at all possible please get an experienced marine tech or rigger to clean up the loose ends in that engine compartment and clean it up. It will raise the value of the boat and make it look like someone gave a sh!t about it.

Lmao - the previous owner wasn't much of a rigging guy in the engine compartment - i think it was one of those "I will get to it later" things. It does have aluminum heads but we haven't pulled any info off of them yet. Thanks for all of the input so far!

Ratman - ladder included - its yours! You could fly over a drive this big girl back to Columbia!

I'd stay away from that boat , it looks like a money pit , trash on the floor in the cabin and your trying to sell , run!!

Looks like someone, at some point, invested some money in upgrades to it. They replaced the gauges, looks like throttles, stainless marine exhaust, aluminum heads, engine upgrade. That looks like a perfect candidate, for immediately removing the engines, derigging that mess in the bilge, a total repaint of the bilge, and a teardown on the engines to go thru them. Some fresh paint and polish on the engines, ditch the KN flame arrestors. Then scour the rest of the boat, and fully detail it.

I've seen some decent boats that been sitting in a boat yard, that were filthy and neglected. A little TLC can go a long way. I personally, would never list something like that for sale, without at minimum, going thru and scrubbing everything to make it look halfway presentable. My guess is your buddy got a good buy on the boat, and now wants to turn a few bucks on it? He'd be wise to invest some elbow grease, or some money to pay someone to clean it up.

The cabin and cockpit are in great shape (the cockpit could use a little elbow grease but no more so than most boats). The engine compartment could use new paint and the rigging organized but all in all it is in decent shape. This is from being in the boat - I didn't look at the listing pics but now I will. And this was never meant to be a flip boat that they wanted to make money on - they had some health and other issues and are actually downgrading to a 22' center console for a while.

I think Mild Thunder hit the nail on the head. But the purpose of this post was not to sell the boat - I was interested in learning about the motors.
