I check in and it is dead.
A former shell of itself.
Still up and running but not much reason for it any longer.
Last few weeks the only new posts are spammers selling rc toys.
Nobody must monitor it at all, somehow it slips through and stays.
Still a few posts from 4 wins liberator and powerplay xlt fans.

I think social media happened. Lots of boards have lost their luster when facebook took off. It is good to see that OSO still has some activity. I am just getting back into boating myself but I have always tried to keep an eye on Speedwake over the years. I've met alot of awesome people at Speedwake and here at OSO.

Social Media may have contributed some. But not as much as JJ. Shot himself in the foot too many times. IMHO

I always enjoyed speedwake, alotta things happen, and the number 1 thing is we lost a great boat forum, its still there and active i drop in once in a while, its alot more user friendly to me, or was anywayz, sounds like something happen with his run and then sno balled from there if i recall, vaigly

thats how me and Jake became buddies!!

I still get a happy bday thou!

Honestly, it seams there are to many forums at it is.... I think that's why I have parked it here...

I am a fan of low profile jet boats sooo socaljetboats.com is another forum I frequent along with Screamandfly.com...

O' yea, can't forget midwestboaparty.com when wanting some LOTO updates

You forgot one more: boats.com. I started working for them in early 2000 (still do as a contributor). They launched that summer, just after the dotcom bubble burst.

They're still around and, in fact, doing really well.
