I'm going to install 2 scoops on the hatch of my Cig. I'm going to center them over the carb. The hole will be 8in x20 in. A friend suggested that I install them more to the front of the carb for bettor air flow. He said if they are centered that most of the air will hit the back of the engine instead of the carb. What do you think? I'm going to cut the holes Sunday and then what's done is done.

Unless you are doing something like ram air induction it really doesn't matter.

it just makes it harder to get the bikini-clad ones horizontal...
