Going to be another great event.

Charity rides, POPRA offshore races, shoot out, poker run, street party, dinners, concerts, gatherings, etc. etc.

Wedensday -

Second Annual "Krusin' for Kids". Under privileged and special needs children and adults will be coming from all over Arizona to have their DREAMS come true one KRUSE at a time. Volunteer participants will take our guests out on beautiful Lake Havasu for a "Kruse" and back into the London Bridge Resort docks where they will enjoy a fun filled day created just for them! Hosted by Lake Racer and Teague Custom Marine. We have teamed up with New Horizons who are bringing their clients and families to enjoy the festivities. We have several participants who have volunteered to take the public for boat rides for donations to New Horizons, please let us know if you would be interested in doing this.

Wednesday Evening -

Lake Racer presents the Desert Storm open house hosted by Oregon Custom Marine, one of the nicest performance boat dealership in Lake Havasu. A silent and live auction may occur during the evening depending on donations for the auction, all proceeds from the auction will be presented to our charity, so they can continue the amazing work they do for families in need. Join us for a great evening of camaraderie with the best people in performance boating

Thursday

will continue the excitement with our down town Street Party, opening this year at noon, all of our participants and Sponsors are invited to display their boats on McCulloch Boulevard which will be closed off for the event. Display and vendor booth areas can be purchased by our sponsors and the public. Last years Street Party was spectacular and over 40,000 people turned out from all over the area, so of course we have to make it even bigger this year.
Participant Registration and check in for the poker run and shootout will be Thursday night at the street party (Near LakeRacer Motorhome)

Friday morning

back at the Nautical Resort, the Poker Run takes off with registration, drivers meeting and a parade thru the London Bridge Channel beginning the run. With 5 card open from 10:45 am to 2:30 pm and a helicopter photo station from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm, there is lots of fun boating action!

Friday Afternoon -

back at the Nautical Resort we have a water front concert and beach party with the poker run participants getting front row rafting privileges. We’ll have water taxis available to bring you into card turn in where we will open the cards and record the results, the winners will be announced Saturday night at the Desert Storm Awards Party!!! The concert is open to other boaters by purchasing a raft up flag in advance.
Starting at 6:00 pm, at the Nautical Resort Poker Run Headquarters we have the VIP party for Poker Hand turn in. Complete with food buffet, hosted Budweiser, sponsor tents, and wild card prizes. We open the cards and record the winners, and party the night away till the late hours!

Saturday morning

begins at the Nautical Resort Poker Run Headquarters with registration and check in for the Desert Storm Shootout. Then we move to the Site Six Marina for boat inspections and classification. The Shootout course starts off near Site Six Launch Ramp and runs two miles south on the California side. Set to run all day, we’ll see who have the fastest boats in the west and the King of the Desert!!! Spectators have a great view from areas around the Site Six Launch Ramp, our wet pits location (VIPS only), in the parking lot, we have display and vendor areas available.

Saturday night

we host a huge awards party with music as we award our participants with best in show, the top speeds in each shootout class and crown the new King and Queen of the Desert! Then top off the awards with our winners of the Poker Run.
For those would like to party into the night, there is a after party planned by River Daves Place, buses will be picking people up after our awards party to take you to the RDP After Party.

From that list the farthest east attendees seem to be from Texas/Iowa. No east coast presence in the list, yet.

Street party, cocktails, poker run, cocktails, shoot out, cocktails...... The day events are a blast and the night life is just as fun. Desert Storm is such a great event and a ton of fun. I'll be heading up the first card stop for Wozencraft Insurance. Always a good time every year. It is worth the drive!! Jim and the team spend a entire year every year getting ready for the next one.
