Shrink wrap if done correctly and Dr. Shrink has quality stuff. When I ordered new boats. They came from CA to TX and From NC to TX. along from other places as well. They would be shrink wrapped down just under the chines and then taped in that area. I would get shipments in Nov - thru March. All colors. from red to black to yellow, never had a problem except one time.

Like it was said if they are shrinked wrap properly. The one problem child I had, the wrap was a tad lose and they did not clean the new boat 100 % after it was manufacturer. The boat even had some fiberglass residue (dust) under the shrink wrap. What happen when traveling was the shrink wrap buffered the boat with grit against the boat. Pulled the shrink wrap cover off and it had fine scratches all over the place. We spent days buffing them out.

Anyways my point is make sure your boat is damn clean before you shrink wrap and make the wrap a tight fit.. Also it might be wise that maybe the wrap has a least a vent or 2 in it. We had a boat come from Boston that was shrink wrapped but had no vents. Took the cover off and the interior had mold all over the place from condensation.

Dave I have an attic full of the Baja shipping covers, the 38 Special or 40 Outlaw should work with some cutting and taping.

Showroom in Ft. Laud. Never an issue. Transport all over US and international.Felt also protects the varnish from heat gun.

The problem with the Shipping covers is they ONLY go half way down the side of the boat, and then are cranked down with the ratchet to tighten.

From what I understand the boat in question has extensive side graphics. I don't think I would trust it.

I used to move my 40 cross country for the poker runs and always used the shipping cover over the regular covers. There was a small wear line where the cover rubbed up against the side every time, not a big deal in the gel, because it easily rubbed out (with just wax) but if it is paint.... Again, I don't think I would take a chance.

FWIW, the 40 Outlaw cover fits the 37' AT from nose to over the swim platform. (~39 feet OAL)
The deck height on the AT doesn't allow the best fit around the top of the windscreen, which is why I won't/cant tow with it; but it works great for indoor and outdoor storage pulled down to the trailer with bungees/straps.

Such deck height issue should not be a concern with a Cigarette.

Dave,use the mast that goes on top of the vinyl stickers then shrink wrap the boat..the mast will act as a barrier and wont let the paint be scratched..

actually yeah transfer tape is a good idea to and i have tons of that. Plus its very low tack

This is a very tough decision to make, lots of options
