46 skater on eBay
#12
I saw it any years back in FL I believe as a PR boat. It ran real strong. It had piston power.
It seems like the boat has had many lives.
Several of us live near the boat. I'll probably take a peak one day next week.
How heavy do y'all think it is? I'm wondering if I could mount it on 6x6 posts and make it a carport.
It's bigger than my pool. Maybe mount it over the pool even.
Wasn't there someone looking for a big Skater project a few months ago?

Al bought our first 46 and put turbines in it. shortly after it caught fire in Lake Pontchartrain with Al And Scott on board and it burned to the water line. this looks to be our second 46 that we won the nationals and worlds with. after Matt quit we sold it to Hugh Fuller who raced it some and them turned it into a poker run boat. after Hugh sold it I dont know where it went but someone certainly didnt treat her like we did.

Now in Sweden.. it needed to get pretty much all of the balsa on the front and rear deck removed and changed. We have used plywood instead of balsa because it is easier to work with. We have removed 200kg of rotten and wet balsa and we don't want to do it again... under deck there was plenty of mushrooms and a smell of overflooded basement. The engines that we have for it is Seatek 660hp 10,3l diesels and Trimax non trimmable drives. we are looking for a 110mph top speed but next winter we will have the turbos and injector nozzles changed to get 800hp out of the engines and the gearbox ratio changed from 1,236:1 to something above 1:1.
