I can prove that 99% of the people don't care who drives what boat and what boat is better than the other!! Here's how next time your at a tie up or hanging out with other boaters having a good time look over at the shoreline I will bet any amount of money if you asked those people sitting on shore what boat they would like to be on at that tie up 99% would say I don't care which one I just wanna be out on the water!!!

I recently up sized to a 35 Donzi after owning a 24 Outlaw for many years. I'll be the first to admit size doesn't make you an expert. I know 35 may not be considered large on this site but it's more than enough for me. I like boating and going fast. The info. and people on the site are very helpful and I have learned a lot from the threads but when the boat needs work it's going to the shop. I don't care for working on engines but it's great that others do and it's good to learn about it so you have a clue. Most people who boat are relaxed people and do not judge. There are always going to be some a@@'s out there who judge everything just avoid them. I am just as happy fishing in my 18 foot Starcraft as I am in the Donzi. Hell I will be happy after this winter to just sit on my deck!

Yes most people on the water are friendly,,there are always azzhats but those people are like that whether
they are on a boat or not..

I have noticed they get a LOT freindlier when you show up with a group of good looking girls
on the boat,,imagine that..

My only thoughts are I have had guys that do have the larger boats and incomes sometimes
dont realize what an effort it is for us poor boys to be out there.. They dont do it because
they are trying to be rude they just have a different view of life..
They will ask you why you havent fixed that scratch in the paint or why you have not
fixed the ripped seat cover or why you havent finished the new motor yet..
Again not in a bad way,,just wondering whats taking me so long..
To them its just a matter of getting it done right now because they have the funds.
For me its a matter of waiting UNTIL I have the funds..

This is the lifestyle that we live and for the people that don't respect the less fortunate don't really understand what a blessing it is to be on the water enjoying one of the single best things that this earth has to offer. I have been on a boat my whole life and I can't thank my parents enough for that! I have learned more about life on a boat than you will ever learn in a classroom. It is something that I will do until they put me in the ground!

When you are a boater it is like joining a brotherhood and I would hope that anyone on the water would help me if I needed it, as I would do for them.

Now that my rant is over lets get on the water and crack open a few cold ones!!!

Just remember when you are eyeing another's ride wishing you had it that someone else is eyeing your ride wishing they were in it.

I'm hoping we get enough rain to bring the water levels up, if not there might not be a boating season for us !

You are 100% correct about people on the shoreline just wanting to be out on the water and yes they are envious of boat owners, when it comes down right to it "some" owners tend to have an attitude towards others with slightly less than what they have... or at least that is what I have encountered.
2 yrs ago I attended a gathering of "Performance boats" of course they say everyone is welcome, so a group of us headed over in the morning for the day, My boat at the time (Mirage) was slower than the rest which didn't bother me until we got to the event and for some reason I got stuffed as far away as possible from the "Bigger, Nicer, more Expensive boats than the rest and then on the return trip, not a single person made sure I made it back ok/ didn't break down...... guess what I am getting at is we appreciate what we own but I have been judged in the past by other owners and even on this site I have seen it happen..... makes you wonder what they started with

I'm young and have a small "performance" boat, I take pride in it and keep it as updated and clean as my wallet alows - it's always great to hear "nice boat" coming from a much larger and in my eyes "nicer" boat. I've never had a single issue on the water.
