Does the boat have transmissions? If it does are they in low gear when you first take off?

Yes the tabs are all the way down and the drives are tucked in. It starts to break loose at about 3000 rpm and will co right to the limiter if i let it. I was thinking about getting hering 5 blade props.

The five blades will cure the problem. When I picked up my boat it had 34's also and would not get on plane. Mercury says that is their worst prop.

It's the props. Too high pitch and high x. I would put in 1.36 gears and use 30" props. Don't know if they make 34" 5 blades?

Get the Herrings not only will you plane off better but you will aslo pick up a couple miles per hour top end and ussually a lot in the cruise range. For not try not putting your taps all the way down. I find that all the way down tends to make them more like water breaks and can hold you back. You could also maybe add some weight in the bow to keep it lower as you plane off. Those are just temporary tell you get your new props.

the boat has 28" centers the ratio is 1.5 and has extention boxes also. I had 32 normal bravos on it first and it did a bit better but I could hit the limiter to easy.

Audio may be right, Try NOT putting the tabs all the way down. My boat has a higher x dimension and will not get on plane with the tabs all the way down. Sounds strange but it is true.
