I am going to say mount them underwater! Sorry I had to say it because I know that would be your response if someone else asked. That being said, I think where you are wanting to put them looks good!

That looks like a good spot, Easily accessible from the inside (some what ) is that your boat ?? Those Props look bigger than my Truck Lol.. Nice setup...

Being it's a cig you should set up some dry ice to go with that, have a little smoke on the water

A little different with the outboards as they are closer. This Is dads scarab 302

The lights are actually just outside the motors. They aren't sitting right as steering and tie bar not on yet.

That looks like the best spot to me if you can get lower that will be better but where you have them is good, i think on the outside of the drives won't be deep enough in the water. What lights are you installing? you can always add some lights on the outside of the drives later to fill in depending on what you are installing.
