Cig twin step w/575s
Are 30 pitch bravo 1s common on 575s with a twin step? These motors are re built by Ron potter and have the Arizona speed shop pulleys, and also have ported and polished heads- there dynoed at 700 hp, we ran the boat up to 84 and had trim and power left, also tabs were at 3, don't remember the RPMs , my question is- do 30s sound right for this set up- or would 32s seem more logical?? Thanks for your input!

FWIW... My 30 Cigarette Mystique T/S ,ITS, Sportmasters, std length, 575SCi's with similar mods was delivered with Labbed (Mercury Racing) 37p Bravo One 4 blades. They deliver a very strong top end but slip at mid range cruise is too high for my liking. My everyday set of props are 15.5 x 34 Hering 5 blades. They work incredible, very efficient @ cruise and strong on top end too. Given the additional weight of your boat, I'd suggest a pair of 32 Hering 5 blades. Call Jeff @ Hering, he'll set you up.

My 2002 T/S 38 TG had Stock 575's and had stock 32's Bravos and would run 5000-5100 rpms at 89-90 mph best. So I would say if staying with bravos going to 34 or labbed 36's.

just had a long conversation on this very topic. 30-32 4 blade seem to be the props of choice for most stock TG's. over here in CT there is a TG TS with stock 575 power. he is running 32 4 blade. not sure what he does for numbers.
