The Engine in the boat was built by QMP (Quarter Mile Performance) in Chatsworth, originally we set it up for Alcohol and it made 1,319 HP, but Alcohol is a major pain the A$$. Way too much work when I am the one man pit crew. So we changed pistons to lower the compression from 11:1 down to 8:1 and I now run it on AV-Gas and it makes 968 HP. Still plenty, it runs about 132 mph, that is plenty fast for a 17' flat bottom.

Been around pretty much from the inception of the site. Under the screen name "Boat Nut" but I lost the password, etc, so rejoined as "PARADOX". Still here.. still wanna sell the Avanti.. still be here after. :)
