fastdonzi 04-25-2014 05:34 AM

Here...A bunch probably sold their boats, A Few Probably Never had Boats to begin with :) if you know what I mean :)

BONDO10 04-25-2014 06:02 AM

What ever happened to Dollabill?

wideawake 04-25-2014 06:12 AM

I started racing Offshore in '73. Does that make me OLD SCHOOL?

offshore312 04-25-2014 06:34 AM

Only been here for 7 years, but have been addicted to offshore since 1974. Got my first taste on Lake Huron, and it's never grown old. I'm over 55 and still running the "old school" stinger. It's not as fast as all the "new fangled" - "super duper stepped hulls", but it gets me out on Lake Michigan & has always brought me back.

BillR 04-25-2014 06:35 AM

Downsized to a smaller boat, but I am still here. Charter member, does that count as old school?

Biggus 04-25-2014 06:40 AM

Still heavy into performance boating, it's in the blood. I check the site occasionally but don't post as much anymore. Sadly, the site has changed quite a bit and many of the members who contributed real, solid tech info are long gone.

Indy 04-25-2014 06:47 AM

Still here, working towards another boat someday.

BobbyB 04-25-2014 07:00 AM

boomer 04-25-2014 07:14 AM

Still check the site every day, due to my love of perforamce boats but dont own a true on anymore.

glassdave 04-25-2014 07:52 AM

Hanging around since Feb. 2001 or sooner.

onesickpantera 04-25-2014 08:02 AM

I've technically been a member since 1999. I sold my boat in 2004 and didn't log in for several months. Bought a new boat in 2005 and went to log in to find my username was given to someone else. That person posted once, and hasn't logged in since 2005 but I still can't get my original username back!

Chris 04-25-2014 08:15 AM

Been here since 1999

SummerObsession 04-25-2014 08:21 AM

Yep, still here. I wonder if that means I need to get a life? Lol

SkaterMike82 04-25-2014 08:47 AM

This site has changed A LOT but i mean A LOT. Its no where near as tight as it use to be. Many of the originals don't get on anymore and if they do, they don't post but for the most part they dont as i stay in touch with them. They don't want to nor care to deal with all the politics, bs etc that goes on. I can count with my two hangs who from the old crew still post. Cash,Biggus, Oldschool and several others. I will NEVER get out or get rid of our hi-perf boats as its in my blood. S&*t i want another one. Ive been a memeber for a LONG time (originals) But this place has changed.

BTW....i've been on way before 08. That's when i got this SN when we opened shop in 06 but closed in 10 but just kept it.

Jolley 04-25-2014 08:48 AM

Still Here....... Not the same ...........:(

Moved back NJ doing well but NOT in the boat biz, nor can i post what he's doing. Still hold the rank at Blue Martini. He'll pop sooner of later :grinser010:

Wobble 04-25-2014 08:52 AM

Still here 4-5 days a week, it has changed, still good though. Sure don't miss the mob mentality that was rampant for a while. Sending politics to it's own section was a definite plus also.

pullmytrigger 04-25-2014 08:52 AM

Yep.....I too lurked for the better part of a year before I joined. It seemed everyone had 35+ ft and blowers, I thought it was some kind of a rule lol...Still have the same boat although just the hull, the trim tabs and the transom assy's are the same, everything else replaced including the trailer. Still get out boating all the time and love it although Im much more picky when it comes to weather than I used to be. Was going to step up to a 38 Fountain big step a guy had for sale around here but built a race car instead. The car will be for the warmer weather pre and post boating season (like now), NOTHING beats a boat on a sweltering hot summer day. The site (like other sites I go on) ebbs and flows....it is what it is

You can say what you want but I remember being at Sean (Airpacker) funeral, all kinds of people there, Alec Cloke (who I knew) intoduced me to a guy standing there, Id never seen this guy before but according to Alec was also on OSO.....I asked him "Whats your screen name? he said "Cig Daze" I said "Im Pullmytrigger" we were both shocked! instant OSO connection, had tons to talk about. I thought that was pretty cool.

Interceptor 04-25-2014 09:44 AM

Who are you calling old?

Crude Intentions 04-25-2014 02:27 PM

Far from old school but have loved performance boats since I can remember. Part of the generation to carry it on and keep it going hopefully till I'm a geezer like y'all. Haha.

As with everything when it gets bigger you have more bs to sift through. Forums being a huge one. Especially with Internet acess being so easy. Just look at eBay. Used to be tons of good deals 10 years ago. Now it's higher priced on a lot. Lol

There's a bunch of us in our mid 30s and below who hope to keep it rolling and try to contribute what we can to make it a good site. I'm here all the time especially when I'm at work cause I'm just sitting in a wheelhouse for 12 hours with wifi. Lol

Holy Smokes 04-25-2014 02:32 PM

Been wastin' work hours on here since...... (look to the left).

wannabe 04-25-2014 03:16 PM

All I know is I am younger than T2X (not by much) and drive an old school boat.
