Congrats to OL for taking a record that many thought would never be broken, simply because "why would you". I love this stuff, just wish their rival Fountain was truly around to keep this battle going, win or lose.

This record would be even more fun with a rival.

"he saw speeds in excess of 180 mph on the boat's GPS."

So is the GPS not accurate, or is the 180+ just for a brief moment?

While it wasn't beat by to much, it was beat. Have to give credit. That is a huge step in the V bottom world. Anxious to see what the fellas at Fountain come up with..

I've heard 1800 or so, but I'm not sure about the alcohol as the motors had intercoolers, and I did not see any alcohol injection/supplementation rigging on the motors. You could however mix some meth/eth in with the gas, but those motors had carbs and retuning them would a major pita, and you would have to worry about phase separation in a marine environment since meth/eth abosrbs water and gas does not.

99.995% of one post wonder inflammatory comments are either 1. Someone posting under a fake name trying to fling chit or 2. Darr trying to get attention.

Thus the comment to pay no mind. If you do happen to need a garden gnome or vacume, please disregard the above,

From the piks I saw this morning (which didnt say what speed they were running at the time)... If it was at speed (and not to beak bash, just an observation) THe OL looked a lot more planted and in control than the fountain. All I am sure of is that it takes a major set of brass testicles to run a V that hard.......
