Except Reggie's boats weren't changing even when he had money to spend. The 42 Lightning hull dates to the 90's, he altered the steps and finally in 2008/09 they re-did the cabin interior. The 42 Poker Run was about the most performance oriented boat he made in the last 10 years of him running the company and it was basically a sit down/no cabin 42. ......
if reggie hadn't "given up" / "lost interest" , its quite possible he would have broke his own record long ago
by the way I am not a brand loyalist and I couldn't care less who has the record , Im just saying if some brand loyalist is going to get his panties all in a sling saying "well if so and so did this blah blah blah" I just thought is would be funny to throw my "what if" into this silly debate
