This is pretty good question. I would have to imagine the fastest straight bottom V would have to be over the 115-120 mph mark. Since there is a few sabers and apaches that are talked about running in the 105-115 mph range. If 115mph is the mark to beat, I may be awful close in my BT!!!

Not so sure about that, Steve Stepp has the record for being the first to run 100 MPH a bunch of years ago in a 30' Velocity hull, I say has in that being first still holds today. If Steve has some record of note for the 134 in CGS then I may have missed that, perhaps you could post up a link to the official record. I believe the question was looking for something documented. On any given weekend afternoon someone on a small lake or river down south runs 120 plus in a 20 something Allison or Hydrostream. Record run? Well for the boat owner I am sure it means a lot, to the APBA or other sanctioning bodies, not much. |

This one is crazy....139mph!! Although not strictly on topic as this particular boat I think has steps.........not that they would add anything IMO from photos that I have seen as it runs with about 6 inches of hull in the water |

I also know Mike Warpath in the US has that thing that's around 21-22ft with twin blown motors in it! Not sure on its max speed but it would be stupid fast I'm sure! |
