We are going there this weekend and I was curious if anyone has been there and what they thought about the lake

We have been several times. Better pack a cooler full of food if you are planning on staying on the boat. Only two places to eat on the lake. If you drive up to the dam there are cliffs you can jump from. They are to your right about 1/4 mile from the dam. The water is cool and clear. Brady Mountain has a good ramp.
