Did you loose the pressure at start up or at full operating temperature? You've gone from a 5W to a 20W which will change your start up pressure until you reach full operating temperature.

In the automotive world it's widely accepted that one should never use Phram filters, for any reason. If my memory serves me at one point they were selling different quality parts to different stores. So you might buy a phram PH3600 at auto zone and get a decent filter, while the same filter bought at walmart was less quality. I've never done any research on my own, but I do stay away from the orange boxes

Thanks for reporting back with what it was and what fixed it.

Friends don't let friends use Fram.

I have seen Fram oil filters on marine apps go both ways on oil pressure. On the V-6 apps the oil pressure gauge will peg and on V-8 the oil pressure will be low. Fram internally can collapse from pressure changes, crappy cheap construction and carboard end caps , Also keep in mind that any pressure readings is a form of restriction. Too high and too low, both are not good indicators.

A good oil filter for the money to use on marine apps is Baldwin.

Also a great tool to have working on boats is an oil filter cutter plus they will cut open your fuel filters as well. Great for diagnosing trouble spots. You would be surprise after you cut open your fuel filters of which brand not to use. They form a thick gel at the bottom internally from a pad that's glued in after gas has sat for periods of time.

Mobil one and K&N are basically the same filters as you can find this on youtube as well. Mobil One filter is a buck less in cost so buy it for the savings. Also if you are looking for another really good oil filter is from Mahle - the piston manu.
