1st off special thanks to Bill and Les at Victory Marine for all the help and putting together this AWESOME deal. It's a 2004, (Looks like a 2014) Hustler Talon 255, with a Victory Marine N/A 572, 680 HP w/ 12 hours on her!! Me and my buddy Jim drove to Houston and back to Merritt Is. (2,290 miles, 40 hours straight there and back, no SLEEP!!!) this past weekend, (Couldn't stay for the Texas Outlaw challenge, we both had to back to work today) to pick her up. She is a ROCKET ship! :) Here are some pics of her.

Thanks Deep from 1 kitty-cat owner to another, it's all about the air pack! Check out the dyno run sheet! Disregard the A/F ratio's, they log the correct ones on a seperate laptop...

Shes' a beaut! Leave it alone. It is one of the best looking cat hulls ever. The lines speak for themselves. I have an 89 Talon and enjoy it more and more every hour I run her. Your I/O should be balanced almost perfectly. Enjoy Dean.

Bob Thanks from another Talon brother! :) and yes, the ONLY graphic is the "M" sticker. She matches my truck, almost......I have always wanted an all white boat, especially here in FL. It is so cool to the touch... And she is very well balanced, the CG seems perfect. Dean |
Nice Dean

That 572ci is a nice package and by the looks of the dyno sheet has the balls to prove it ! Really sweet ride from one end to the other !
Thanks bud, I haven't had a Cat for over 15 years, sold my 24' Eliminator Daytona w/ 2 x 280 2.5's back in 1998 when cat insurance starting getting crazy expensive in FL. My hydrostream is a Modified tunnel, but it's not the same as center pod cat for the rivers. I bought a new boating flag for the Talon today . "MOLAN LABE" :) |
Nice pick up Dean. Would have been cool if you could have stayed for the outlaw but I am sure your smile was plenty big bringing home the new boat.

Thanks dude, I looked for your boat, we seatrialed the boat, on Clear Lake at 7:30AM Sat. morning! :eekdrop: If you heard some idiots running around on the Clearlake that early in the morning, it was us....We drove 42 hours non-stop, no sleep, to Houston and back to MI! Yesterday, I felt like a vampire out in the daylight! :) |

Got up in the bow yesterday looking at the construction, Joe builds a great boat, rock solid.

Yeah, me either, it's sitting in the driveway, (not on the lift yet, got to modify the bunks) and it's hard for me to work in office and not to want to go out front and tinker with her! I'll let you know about next weekend, and welcome to FL.:) Dean |
Well, that didn't take long!
Just ordered a HVH Super Sucker 1" alum spacer from CP.
http://www.cpperformance.com/c-1091-...s-spacers.aspx That will be a winter project, unless we get a TD, then I take the Talon up to Mystic and we'll do the mod there. |
Saw that in the bay while they were getting her ready Friday afternoon. Very nice looking Hustler!! I was unlucky in the Outlaw, I was seeing Bill getting parts.
But yeah, Bill is a great dude. Thank You Victory Marine for after hour parts!!! |

A little update:
I tried a stock bravo1 30" and I could only spin 5500, and only saw 96 MPH. I need to try and find a Labbed Bravo1 30" to try.... |
If I wasn't using mine,my spare set at BBlades, Dean I would send it to you. My Talon with outboards likes over the hub clevers as far as speed. I picked up a set of labbed and vented bravo copies that generate too much bow lift, but are fun in 2' chop and the acceleration is awesome. The best I have seen is 90.7 Sunday evening. I'm sure there is more on on the table. i should easily bust 100 with some 32s'. As far as paint, I prefer the all white ,but painting the windshield area black give will the Talon/ Hustler a sleek look. Enjoy.

Bob Thanks for the offer, be interesting to see how my Talon reponds to the vented Bravos 1. I have a set of Bravo1 32" labbed by BBlades that I run on the 388, but I think it would be too big. I also have a pair of Maximus 32" labbed by Cutting edge for the 388, and that would definitly be too big. I wish there were more Hi-Perf. boaters on my area that I might be able to borrow a Bravo1 30" lab prop from... |
Are you running a 1.36 or 1.5?
|
1.5
|
Dean, I have a what would equal a 31 labbed bravo that would work well on your boat.

Thanks, I've got about 20 hours on her now, and she runs great, handles 2 foot chop really well for a 25' boat, and engine is just a beast! Dean |
I ran 90.7 mph with the Ron Hill Bravo copies the other weekend. I am going to have the diffuser rigs cut off of them and see how she likes it. My clevers will be back from BBlades soon then hopefully 100 mph! Enjoy Dean!

I'm really interested in your diffuser rings deletes to see how it affects your boat. Thanks, Dean |
id love to snag me a 25 talon with no power and build my own power for it, they really are awesome boats. I had the privilege to drive mercs test talon in the BH program years back and I fell in instant love with the boat. awesome boat.
