Massive you ball buster:p :D I just got off the phone with Pat, still testing, no problems, everything is super tight, he likes the imco extreme s/c 2" shorties, he was trying to test it out by seeing how fast he can go, without rolling it over, or spinning out. Thumbs up on the drives and managed in todays waters 90mph at approx 4300rpms. Tomorrow he will be testing again, but the chopper cam will be doing a video, he will try and get that to me tomorrow so I can post the video as well, I will keep you guys informed. Also I am flying down tuesday to spend 4 or 5 hours with Pat on the water, anyone else is welcome along for a ride. I'm flying back out that same knight and Pat mentioned about trailering the boat to Sarasota this weekend for the P.R., run in it, and then I can trailer it home from there. The fun is finally beginning:D

Pat is a great guyand a great boat builder.Just like to bust his balls when I get the chance.I was at the factory and had seen your boat. She is awesome!!You will have nothing but fun with it!!

Steve 1, Too Old, and Slingshot, thanks for the comments, when I get back from boating tonight if Pat had a chance to email me the chopper video, I will display it on this thread along with updated speeds.:D
|
looks good, nice paint job....how do the engines look with the green compartment? Pictures are always hard to tell!
|
Cat. 6, I will know on Tuesday, If had to do over again, I probably would have gone with yellow, but will know more on when I see it, and how much of it do you really see against the purple block and yellow valve covers and flame arrestors, as well as the diamond plate. Pat says its a eye catcher, kind of goes with the boat paint job:cool: :D
|
VERY NICE BRO!!!!!
|
Man does that boat look great in the water!!!
|
Jeff, the boat looks AWESOME, though I stand by my earlier comment that you could use a bit more PURPLE! LMAO! Seriously is one sweet machine. Congratulations. :p
|
Hi Jassby,
So.... you are going tomorrow to take possession of your new Active Thunder?? That's fantastic! I bet you may have a little trouble sleeping tonight. Eh? Be safe! |

When does the person, who had given you the boat name, get a ride in it??? (Hint-hint:p ) |
Hey Stan, I'll be going to check it out on Wed, and have Pat give me a schoolin on that 37 , and believe me I'm looking forward to it. We are also going to go to Sarasota this weekend for the PR, I'll be trailering it back from there. Thanks for the help on the props. :D Iv'e got some pics taken from the chopper coming over in a few hours, I'll post them as soon as I get them:D

Catagory 6 we all know you were instrumental in this project. weather or not you'll admit it you have to be proud. |
Hey everyone, here's the lastest pics. from the chopper. god it makes me wet.:p :D Check out that air shot!! gotta love it.:D
(Jeff's Say's) hey how much did Pat have to pay that fine sexy lady to ride with him? :p ;) Even her bikini matched the boat. Thanks for everything Pat and Diane. Sandy & Jeff:D  http://www.msnusers.com/JASSMANSRADIOACTIVE[/URL] |
Incredible boat!!
Good luck with it. |
Originally posted by Troutly Jeff, the boat looks very nice :) . Will there be some type of vent covers for the rear hatch area?? My understanding of this engine hatch is those two areas will have a see through "plexiglass material" installed in those openings. I say plexiglass, just for a lack of the correct material, but you know what i am saying. Probably "Lexan", that is used by Harley Davidson on their windshields. Anyway, sounds very cool! |
Looks UNFKNBLVBL....and smokin'!
|
JJ,
the pictures look awesome, congrats on one sweet boat, I look forward to seeing it in person in October. Great Job PAT and the rest of the guys at Activew Thunder.... |
Jeff, Congrats on the boat. Looks like the wait was worth it.:D
If you have seen only pictures of the boat, you are in for a very pleasant surprise cause it looks even better in person. We were there on Thursday and Friday last week and the boat looks absolutely fantastic:D They were waxing it on Friday........by hand. They even polished the trailer. (very nice trailer by the way:rolleyes: ) Those motors are impressive. And for those curiois, the Lexan was installed in those pictures. Too bad you have to wait another long day before you get to see it, feel it, touch it, ride in it, ect. etc. in it:D :D |
Thanks guys, we are very excited, looking forward to that P.R., need a little mini vacation.:D
Pat said it was Lexan, its real trick, when it goes dark ouside there is a light that shows off those engines without opening the hatch, lights up the whole compartment. H2o, what did you like about the trailer, and did you get to see the airbrushing to match the boat. |
I got a MYCO just like it except for the brakes. I went with the electric over hydraulic. They did not have the airbrushing done while we were there. It did however match the boat. Very nice package:D
|
What made you go electric over hydralic, and was the spare tire on there as well as the tool box.:D
|
You've got it bad don't you:D :D You cannot wait to see this thing can you........Its has got to just be killing you........wait till you see the "package" we left in the cabin:eek:
|
Thanks buddy, paybacks are a *****, remember who's last at the factory laughs last:p ha-ha-ha-ha-huhhhh:p :D
|
Yea, I thought about that as I posted. No packages, just thought I give ya some crap. You and Thunder Dan helped get me into this:D
I went with the electric over hydraulic to get the benefit of surge brakes (better corrosion resistance) with the actuation response time of electrics. Sleep well my friend, you will have a very exciting day on Wednesday. :D :D And please be gentle with Thunder EnLightening, she isn't finished yet.:( |
Jeff,
Thanks for the numbers. I dont know our exact schedual of the cruises we will take but will call you. My cell is 225-413-8155, call when you will be taking visitors. I know after a long trip back you will be tired. I think we are leaving sometimes Monday morning for the ride back. Its about a 3 hour trip at 45mph. If we cant hook up Im sure it will happen someday. We really like going out to the coast from LA. Maybe one day you can come meet us in Lake Ponchartrain or New Orleans. Good luck and be safe, Ron |
Guess I can't say that I have the best looking AT anymore. After the last 2 spectacular creations that have come out of AT I'll have to differ the best looking boat title to them. :D ;) :p :D
Jeff that boat looks awsome. I'm expecting a ride when we get to Florida in Oct. See you then. |
Hey T-Bikini,
I hear that you and your husband are also picking up your new 37'AVH Active Thunder this week!! You guys must be super excited. Some real nice stuff coming out of that factory! Best of luck. ENJOY! |
Looks like they have a new Thunder poster boat there.
Nice lookin pics! |
Thanks Back4more, thats just a few of the shots that they took from the chopper, I'll see the rest at the Sarasota PR this weekend. Family boating and performance mag will have a plant tour on A.T. this coming issue, should be great reading.
H20 and TBikini, your almost done, should be reddy for that Cumberland run, wish I could go with you guys, I'll be lucky enough going to that Thunder run in Key West, Thank God for baby sitters:D |
Well this is making me "Chub Up" I gues it is time for me to build another!!
|
any speed numbers?
|
Boatnut and Jassman
Hey guys, you are right on! We are so excited. Still a few weeks left in the boating season, so we are ready to rock! Took our oldest daughter down with us to see Thunder Enlightening and she looked up at Miss Diane with big baby blues and said "When is it going to be done?" (I kid you not!) Promise we didn't put her up to it either :D Jassman....she especially liked your boat but I didn't let her use the potty I promise:eek: Can't wait to meet you all in October;) Tbikini |
Originally posted by MassiveThunder any speed numbers? I understand that Jassby and Pat are at a poker run right now! I think it's on the west coast of Florida. |
you are correct.
|
Hey Jassby,
So.......................Talk to us! How did she run?? And how was that poker run? |
Hey Stan, the boat ran great, Pat and Diane do a nice job and a great presentation. The x dimension is set for top end, so it takes a little while to get up on plane, kinda like a boat with 6's, didnt have any 34's and borrowed someones 32's :p Pat will explain and then borrowed Jon Testweeds 30" as well as Maximus Yolk, who saved the day. It was a great weekend. The boat is being dialed in this and next week while we await a few different props. I will keep you guys informed, take care and have a great weekend;)
