You can't tell me you don't think these company's are making $$ on there shipping. I really want a list of company's that are reasonable. I found the Sam item for $10 more at other company's.... But I bought from Eddie marine cuz... Well $20 is $20.... But I get raped on shipping.... I just feel like they are pissing on my back and telling me it's rain.

I set up a Fed Ex account online and can ship anything way cheaper than most large marine business` ?? Yeah, we get hosed on the pricing and then to add insult to injury they hose you on shipping. When they go out of business they have no one to blame but themselves for chasing customers away.

The comparison of Eddie Marine to Amazon is not a fair one. Amazon is based on volume. Since the ship millions of packages a day, they see large discounts from the freight companies. They also have leverage that allows them to get deep discounts from the freight companies. Smaller places can't go to UPS, Fed Ex, etc and demand lower shipping cost, they don't have the volume leverage like Amazon. Also there are different pricing structures to keep in mind. So based on profit margin, a company selling a certain product line can afford to give shipping for free, where another company selling a totally different product my see very little profit margin. So they have to make it up in shipping...... While $38 for 3 drive showers does sound a bit high, how much were the showers? Were they a bit cheaper than all the other sites? If so that's why shipping was more. Most retailers get the same pricing so if one is cheaper than the other, the cheaper one basically is at less profit margin....
Online retail has become ruthless. I ran a small online store a few years ago selling name brand sunglasses. Towards the end, I simply couldn't keep up with the large companies like Zappos. They were discounting things so much it made my website look like I was ripping people off. That wasn't the case. They were just willing to take little profit per item and squash the little guy. Eventually I gave up because I simply wasn't able to make any money...... Amazon and other giant online retailers are doing the same thing....

Would it fair if I compare it to what I can ship it for? When I get them in I'm going to run down to the UPS store and see what they would charge to ship them back. The item was $10 cheaper than the mist ecspensive place. It would be interesting to hear from one if these retailers on here. I do know $26 fir a mushroom cleat pin in a bubble wrap envelope is insane..... and CP pulled that move on me.

$18 to ship the VST o-ring kit from Bam? Unreasonable.
