Happy Birthday Bob Saccenti!

Many years ago in Mar del Plata Argentina, there was a young guy with the same name as yours?
Of course he had dark hair and was trying to race a new design boat...... from that unknown company named after that smoking instrument.
Many years later, the boat design became famous as the Top Gun, the boat company gained some fame also, but I wonder whatever happened to the guy with your name? He was crazy, didn't seem to mind racing in 10 and 14 foot waves with no safety boats on the course.
Happy Birthday buddy. I hope you are around for many more birthdays in the future.

Ajac Hawk- Cigarette 38 thru Squadron XII thru numerous 41 and the first 47 Apaches , he will always be the only person that Won with everything new we sent him to throttle ! Those fortunate to be along for those rides will remember the rest of their lives. He was that different on the sticks.

I just want to say, as a long time fan of offshore boats since I saw a review of a 28 Cigarette in Boating magazine in the early 70's it is an honor to have you and guys like T2x, Top Banana and others here on OSO. It would be like Mario Andretti or Dan Gurney posting on a car racing forum. You guys are living legends and it is so kind of you to answer our questions and provide information from the glory days. Thanks for being on here and
!

Happy Birthday ,Mr Saccenti. My dad , Bill Diggens, worked for you in the 70's. He passed away several years ago from cancer and I Really miss him . He always mentioned how he enjoyed working with you (even though the hours drove my mom crazy). I have so many great memories of going to work with him in the summer to the shop in Hollywood and then in N.Miami.You and the guys always made me feel welcome even though I was just a kid. Hope you had a great birthday and many more! William Diggens Jr.

Thanks Bill
Sorry to hear that Bill passed on. Your dad was well respected and defiantly on top of his trade.. He pulled me out of tight spots on many occasions.
