They are good boats. Dad had an '89 251 before this 253 and I ran that one a lot. I do remember the porpoising deal a little bit, but if you bumped up the speed a little it went away. I think putting some tab in it helped.

I like that white one from grand rapids as long as you can handle the red interior. Of course the price is higher than the others but it looks like a nice, clean boat. Plus it has a bravo, big block, and swim platform for the woman and kids.

Our 251 didn't have a platform, so having to climb up the drive all the time got real fun.

Still looking at the checkmates. I really like this boat too. Not sure why I am so attracted to rare boats. I just think it would be cool to own something that you would never see on the water. Anybody ever seen one of these? I told the guy if the boat does 68 mph ON GPS then I will take a look at it! Lol. The cabin is huge. He said he has the build sheet and he used forged internals.

I deciding whether to buy the CM 253 in the classifieds. I talked to the guy and he said the boat only does 60 mph. I figured it would be at least a 65 mph boat with 400hp.

That's a nice looking boat...I like it even better than the white 251 with the red interior.

The cockpit having snap in carpet and the sliding cabin door are awesome compared to a 251 as well.

What about a formula? I've heard that they handle the chop very well. Also a very well built boat.

I've seen the 251 from Grand Rapids Craigslist, it's sitting about 5 miles from Hayes State Park out by Brooklyn. I stopped and walked around it last week when I sold my boat. It's nice!

Good 'ole powerboatlistings, where when you sell your boat you NEVER REMOVE THE AD.
