I came on board around 99, before the registration. I'm member #68 or 69.

Not forgetting Big Scotty!

Been here since 2002, been to an OSO party at KW (2005) and met some faces, I have a couple of shields on the wall in my office -one says Farthest Travelled and the other says I'd Cross the Atlantic for a party! - also Miami Boat Show once, great trips!

A long time ago.... and part of the original parties at Monty's! Anyone remember those? Good times with Steve and the gang!!

When I joined the board I had young kids and a big runabout. Just look what this place did to me over the years! :angry-smiley-038:

Robert

I remember those days. Wow, what a drama that was.

Been here since Summer of '02. Had a different screenname then. Rejoined in late '02 and my member number was 4k higher. Good times.

Of the 10 people I would consider my closest friends, I only knew one before OSO.

This place is a huge part of my life and routine.

Thanks

I came in right around the time some guy that worked at Baja had stiffed some people for money/parts then faked his own death. So I come in as TEAMBAJA (from Bucyrus) and get blasted not knowing what the hell was going on! :angry-smiley-038: Ironically, a year or 2 later I was working there.

I found OSO in the summer of 2000, and joined in Oct 2000. I was part of the "Charter Members" that gave $20.00 for the server upgrade that help OSO grow under Jeffery's ownership. The biggest thing I remember back from those days was "Supercrash"! What a piece of work that guy was....:angry-smiley-038:

From the archives, back in the day 56K V90 dial up before high speed cable DSL etc. We spent more time hopping up our PCs than working on our boats.

Dragging this up from the "way back" machine. Hard to believe there is almost 63,000 members on OSO today..

Cash Bar 05-27-2013 09:07 PM

And I still feel exactly the same as I posted previously. Wouldn't change it.

I'm rarely on here anymore but have to say I've met some pretty decent people from this place over the years. :ernaehrung004:

I started lurking in early 03 and became a member in May 2003. I was introduced to the site by a guy that screwed me on a boat deal as well as others. Once we got to talking on here it led to his arrest and still collect restitution every month. I have met many people on here over the years and have life long friends from this site. I attended many of the boat show parties and this year started attending poker runs. This site will change you whether you want to or not. I am addicted for life. I have tried all of the offspring sites over the years but there is no substitute.

I still remember the site when it just had classifieds and a picture gallery. Never registered until 2003 though........ Still remember seeing some of the Apaches that Stinson had listed in the classifieds.
