Hi
Looking for a boat between 19-22' budget is $10,000
Was interested in an older Mirage 217 or Wellcraft 210 with 5.7 power
I live in Gibsons B.C. about 20 miles north of Vancouver
Boat would be used in salt water only was looking for something that would do about
45 mph top speed cruise at 35 mph with wife and 2 small grand kids in boat.
Last boat was a 197418' sangster with 305 sbc and merc leg
Any thoughts about the above choices.
What kind of fuel consumption gph could I expect

Doing a little research and a 5.7 should use 7-8 gph at cruising speed in the average
21-22' boat does that sound about right.
How many hrs can you expect to get out of 5.7 before rebuild, use would be mostly
Cruising a little bit of tubing.
Hope someone with a 217 mirage or a 210 wellcraft will chime in and let me know
If I am on the right track

An early 80's Formula 233LS is a nice boat and one in decent condition with a trailer should fit your budget. Most I see were built with single 350 Mercruiser / Alpha so they should be fairly reliable and economical to operate.

Also think wellcraft Novas. Chris craft scorpion. There was a nice looking boat like your looking for on powerboat swap shop on fb. Looked decent in pics. Plenty out there in the 21-23 range at decent buys if you look.

May wanna look for Chaparrals' too. I had a 84 235XLC. It was a great boat for what it was. Large cabin and plenty of storage space. Very comfy. Cruised nicely at 30-35 and topped out at 48 mph with a bone stock Merc260hp and an Alpha drive.
