You did inform her of the fact that cruisers have full kitchens, right? That stopped the cruiser conversation dead in its tracks at our house, your mileage may vary.

here is a 38 magnum its the best of both worlds. 125k is a little pricer for the age but there are a number of them out there. i bet it has a pretty good range with diesels, cats last forever, and can be tweaked for a little more power... i saw a similar magnum that was 44 or 45 ft for 65k i think it was, with arenesons and diesel power. these are some nice solid riding well made boats, and low maint with the diesels..

If I were in your shoes this would be my first stop.
http://www.offshoreonly.com/classifi...o49646-en.html my father has had big sport fish boats with diesels for 25 years... never has he replaced an engine, genset, or transmission... never! he goes from balto in to florida, than all over the bahamas fishing for 3 months then up to maine and nova scocia then to balto then floriida and has done this loop for 15 years and uses the boat daily... he replaces every impeller in every engine and genset water pump twice a year so they work at peak efficiency, he changes his oil like clock work and carries all the oil and filters he needs and changes it when its time no mater where he is. diesels get twice the fuel efficiency of gas and then you have the safety issues, plus diesels go thousands and thousands of hours between rebuilds if properly maintained... diesel all the way bro dont even think of going with pos gas engines in a cruiser... plus you can have the boat filled at your home and save a ton on your fuel by doing so, always keep the tanks topped off if the boat is ever going to sit, so you wont have algae problems in your fuel tanks. and change your fuel filters out when your egt's start to go up... werd |
Get a big Sonic.....dont cave!!
