If the performance C.C. market takes off as projected there are many C.C. builders that could transition from traditional fish boat to this market. There are some great hulls out there like Contender, Yellowfin and others who could bring additional innovation to the customers.

I bought and restored a 1998 Marlago 35' with vacu flush and twin 250 EFIs for the wifey for embarassingly little money. It has a nice cabin and fully enclosed head with 6' headroom. And now with our young kids we use it 4 out of 5 times out. They run around in circles in it. We still use the 42 Fountain when I want to have a good brisk go fast ride. And the cleanup on the CC is amazingly easy. :)

I can only talk for Statement and being on them. But as you can see from the pic I posted. Between the L-couch in the rear, main seating, wrap around up front_ and over sized console seats. We had everyone in that pick (12 I counted) seated very comfortable and cruising with a drink in hand at 55mph.

Don't forget guys, there's only 6 months vs year round "winter layup" when boating up North, yes, it makes a difference.

Carrera made CCs from 24 to 36 from single to quad,,most sold boat of all? 27ft , no cabin with twins..Outsold the bigger 32/36 by a wide margin..Overall less ten percent of all the Carrera cc's had cabins.
Most were used like pontoon boats,,to carry lots of people and anchor up and party. and a few actually got fished from,LOL..

My Concept has a cabin, wasn't built in the 80s and didn't cost all that much. Concept still makes a 30 with a cuddy and also makes a 36 with a cuddy. I would hardly call them a rich mans boat. I consider myself an "average joe". My 30 isn't a 1/4 to 1/2 million dollar machine and doesn't have trip or quad motors (twin 225 Optimax for me). My 30 will SEAT 8-9 adults. I like the "fishermans" layout. That's why I bought it. The open floor plan is excellent when anchored out, partying at the dock, etc. Its easy to walk around without bumping into a seat, person, etc. Mine also only has a total of 4 rod holders, so I would hardly call it a fishing machine..... I will say this, We do see a lot more wind in the Center Console, but most of the time, the wind feels good. Especially on the 90+ degree days with humidity levels approaching 100%....

This reminds me of the convo's we have with our couple friends. Them....."Why you have that Z06??? A mini van is so much more practicle." Me........"cause I like women and drugs."

I would call the cabin cruisers more like mini-vans. The Center Consoles have become more like an "SUV". You can pile more women and drugs in a SUV (center Console) than you can a Sports car (true performance boat Vee or Cat)...
