I believe that's just a 46 with bustle.

so it would be very similar in size to the 48 MTI sitting side by side???? |
Pretty close in overall size, but I think there will be some noticable differences. I would guess that the running surface of the 46 Skater is just slightly longer. I think the tunnel of the MTI is going to be slightly wider. These are pretty small differences, but will change how the boat rides and handles in different conditions.

Summer O, great thread. How would you compare the 1100's to the 1350's?
Thanks The 1350's are a lot more thirsty however.:D |
For the record though, I would love to see Mercury Racing come up with something between the 1350's and 1650's that required 93 octane but made like 1500 hp. I really wanted to put 1650's in this boat but there is no way I'm hauling race fuel.

All you big boys wanting more power and I was hoping before my build Mercury would come out a with a de-tuned 1100 motor set up as an 850...LOL. I believe they have this set up for Europe racers..i could be wrong.
Btw, thanks for the info on the two boats. Both brands are amazing and you are lucky to be able to own both. Ron.....I think he's owned every brand! :)
